Police in Cornwall put out a warning to drivers about parking too close to pedestrians crossings.

It comes after officers in Camborne caught three pulled up on the zig-zags in one night.

They posted the photos on Facebook to remind locals the lines are there to protect pedestrians and parking on them is illegal.

Officials warn it can lead to three points on your driving licence and a fine.

Posting on Facebook, Camborne, Pool and Redruth Police said: "The white zig-zags on the approach and exit of pedestrian crossings are not a parking area - they are there to protect pedestrians.

"The three vehicles pictured were seen by officers on foot on Saturday night in Camborne Town centre.

"Park here and you risk three points on your driving licence and a fine".
