A busy night for Bude fire crews - involving a cow, a flipped car and a bush.

Whilst one crew were called to rescue a cow from a slurry pit a second call to a road traffic accident came in.

A second crew rushed to the scene near Holsworthy where a car was found flipped and in a hedge.

They found the vehicle empty with no one on the scene.

Bude Community Fire Team posted on Facebook: "Last nights RTC: whilst one crew was busy with the rescue of a cow from a slurry pit, a second call was received, reporting a single vehicle a road traffic collision.

"Another crew from Bude was quickly mobilised to the incident which was near Holsworthy.

"On arrival a car was discovered in the hedge.

"Nobody was trapped and there was nobody at the scene. Our crew made the vehicle safe by disconnecting the battery and ensuring it was stable. The vehicle will now be recovered."

A reminder our fire crews are always on call for any incident.
