BREAKING: 24ft caravan jack-knifes and closes A30

A 24-foot caravan has jack-knifed across the A30 in Cornwall.

Police say two other vehicles were also involved and hit the central reservation near Carland Cross.

There are reports of minor injuries but no-one is seriously hurt.

Highways are on route to clear debris off the road at Mitchell, after it was reported to officers at around 4.15pm on Wednesday afternoon.

One lane is closed and there is very slow traffic in the area.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "At 4:15pm police were called to reports of a 24 foot caravan colliding with the central reservation on the b carriageway, on the A30 at Mitchell near Newquay.

"Two other cars are also believed to be involved.

"One lane remains closed, and there is traffic heavy in the area.

"There are no major injuries reported at this time."
