Crash leaves woman with life-threatening injuries

A woman has suffered life-threatening injuries after a serious crash near Bodmin.

Police and paramedics were called after a lorry and a car collided at Lanivet on the A389.

Officers are appealing for dashcam footage after a stretch was closed for most of Monday afternoon.

A 71-year-old woman was taken to Derriford, where Devon and Cornwall Police says she remains in a serious condition.

A force spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision on the A389 in Cornwall.

At around 11:30am on Monday 25th September, there was a collision between Scania Lorry and a Kia Venga on Truro Road, Lanivet near Bodmin.

A 71-year-old woman from Port Isaac was driving the Kia; she remains in Derriford Hospital in a serious condition after sustaining life-threatening injuries".
