UPDATE: Missing St Ives man found safe and well

A man who was missing from St Ives for almost a week has been found safe and well.

Police released several images and put out an appeal to help find Peter Land.

They were concerned for the 53-year-old's welfare after he hadn't been seen since last Friday night.

But on Thursday afternoon they confirmed that he'd been found and thanked the public for their help.

At the time, a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are concerned for the welfare of missing Peter Land who is missing from St Ives and was last seen on the night of Friday 6th October.

"He is described as white, 53 years old, 5ft 8ins tall, of a stocky build, with short grey/black hair. He also wears glasses.

"Peter was last seen wearing a grey top and beige trousers. He walks with a forward lean and quite heavy footed.

"He is thought to be driving a Blue Fiat Panda, registration WV08 YTL."
