Tops dogs at one of Cornwall's biggest attractions have confirmed that singing sensation Gary Barlow is heading to the Duchy.

The artist is the first to be announced for next year's Eden Sessions, a string of live music events held by the Eden Project every summer.

Nothing else has been released - and we don't know what date it will be yet - but Gary did post this tweet:

The 'Shine' star is known for his love of Cornwall and is thought to holiday here quite regularly.

Listeners say he's been spotted in the likes of Padstow and Rock.

Back in 2012, he made it just over the Tamar when he played with Take That at the Plymouth Pavilions.

But we don't think he's played actually in the Duchy since the early 90s...

It's as he announced his latest tour, due to start in 2018.

You can see a full list of tour dates here:

It comes after Bastille, Madness, Royal Blood, Blondie, Van Morrison and Bryan Adams all rocked the biomes this summer.

Promoter John Empsom told Pirate FM: "We've had a great year this year and it's probably been our most successful one yet."

You can see more about who played over the summer here.
