Rush hour crash causes traffic trouble

A crash on a busy road in Cornwall has caused rush hour traffic trouble.

Two cars hit on the A390 at Gunnislake on Thursday afternoon.

Police and paramedics were both called to the scene and an elderly driver has suffered minor neck injuries.

Officers say Fore Street and Newbridge Hill have both been affected.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to a two-car collision involving a Peugeot and a Jaguar.

"The road is closed on Fore Street as the ambulance needs to attend as a precaution, one elderly driver has suffered minor neck injuries."

An Inrix Traffic and Travel spokesperson added: "A390 Newbridge Hill in both directions blocked, very slow traffic due to accident, two cars involved between Under Road (Tavistock Arms) and Wellpark Road.

"Police have now blocked the road while they attend the incident."
