Bake Off winner revealed in Twitter blunder

Bake Off winner revealed in Twitter blunder

It's final day of The Great British Bake Off... and one of the judges has made the biggest blunder in baking history.

Prue Leith has accidentally revealed the winner on Twitter.

That's a good 12 hours before it premieres on TV.

No we're not joking, but don't worry we won't spoil it for you.

The cookery expert is in Bhutan in South Asia, and says the time difference made her think the result had already been shown on telly.

Apparently Prue is in "a state" after congratulating the victorious baker online...

Meanwhile, Twitter users have been ruthless, criticising her for revealing the winner before tonight's anticipated finale.

The tweet, later removed, came after Prue announced she would be returning to the show next year, along with judge Paul Hollywood and presenters Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.

"No one told me judging a gbbo final would be so emotional," the tweet said.

"I wanted them all to win. Bravo," she said, followed by the winner's first name.

Bake Off fans aren't happy, and have been letting out their frustration on social media.

Here's a few of our favourites...

But this isn't the first time a Bake Off judge has spoiled the finale.

In 2015, Mary Berry accidentally revealed the winner during a radio interview with Chris Evans, when the presenter asked her to name the contestants who had already left.
