Police investigate reports a woman has attacked by gang in Camborne.

Officers say she was assaulted and robbed by three young men, who grabbed her from behind.

The 32-year-old was left with extensive bruising and other injuries earlier this month.

Around £300 in cash and a Samsung S7 Galaxy Edge phone were stolen from her handbag.

It happened near the junction of Enys Road and Hughville Street on Tuesday 7th November.

Devon and Cornwall Police want to trace anyone who saw something at around 6am.

Detective Constable Jules Lewis, from Camborne CID, said: "This was a particularly vicious attack on a defenceless lady and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact police with any information.

"A group of young men would have stood out at this time of a weekday morning, so please contact CID if you saw anything unusual".

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting crime reference CR/097640/17.
