Police have raided a property in a quiet Cornish village, amid reports it was being used as a pop-up brothel.

Officers were called to Perranwell Station, which lies between Falmouth and Truro, last Tuesday.

Two women found at the address were given safeguarding support and one has been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.

Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed the property was being let out and the landlord has been made aware.

A force spokesperson said: "Police attended a property Perranwell Station on Tuesday 28th November following intelligence that it was being used as a pop-up brothel.

"Two females were located at the address and both were given safeguarding support; one was later arrested for immigration offences.

"The landlord has been made aware of this incident."
