Man's body found in Falmouth

A man has been found dead in a shop doorway in Falmouth.

Pirate FM understands a passerby made the discovery on Brook Street.

The area around Salvation Army Hall was cordoned off just before 9am on Wednesday.

Photos show paramedics at the scene, along with several Devon and Cornwall Police vehicles.

A force spokesperson said: "Police responded at 8.40am this morning after reports of an unresponsive man in the doorway of a shop in Brook Street.

"An ambulance attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Scenes of crime officers sealed of the area to investigate the circumstances of this death".
