Four vehicles have collided on Cornwall's busiest road.

The crash happened on the A30 near Launceston, close to the Plusha Service Station.

Police say no-one is thought to be injured but the westbound carriageway was closed at Polyphant.

It was affecting traffic heading towards Bodmin.

Both lanes have now re-opened and traffic is returning to normal.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 11.50am to reports of a four vehicle RTC near the Plusha Service Station, Launceston.

"The road is currently blocked and traffic is backing up.

"No injuries reported at present."

An Inrix Traffic and Travel spokesperson added: "A30 Westbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident, four vehicles involved and recovery work between Lewannick Road / Polyphant Road (Two Bridges) and B3257 (Bodmin Moor Services).

"Police have now closed the road to allow recovery work to take place following a multi-vehicle accident near Bodmin Moor Services. Affecting traffic heading towards Bodmin."
