A man has pleaded guilty to carrying out two attempted robberies in the Camborne area.

Police say a man targeted Adelaide Stores in Tolvaddon on Sunday 12th November.

But he made off from the scene at Penrose Court empty handed.

Later that day, another shop on Pendarves Street in Tuckingmill was also targeted, but again no money was handed over.

Now Dean Bartle, from Tuckingmill in Camborne, has admitted two counts of attempted robbery.

But the 30-year-old pleaded not guilty to having a bladed article and being in possession of an imitation firearm.

He is due to be sentenced at Truro Crown Court in early January.
