There are fears over jobs as a big retailer in Truro announces it is closing.

B&M at Garras Wharf only opened two years ago but now bosses say it is set to shut.

The discount store, which "believes in selling top branded products at sensational prices" is set to close properly within the next few weeks.

Bosses say they are looking at other vacancies for staff.

A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we will be closing our Truro store in a few weeks.

"We would like to thank all of our customers for shopping with us and we hope to see them in our Redruth store in the near future.

"We're currently looking at other vacancies within the company for colleagues."
