Verdict on Truro stabbing

A 16-year-old boy has been found guilty of wounding with intent after a stabbing in Truro.

Police were called to reports of a 14-year-old being injured outside a community centre back in September last year.

Truro Crown Court heard how the victim was asked to go outside before being targeted by the boy, who was wearing a mask.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries including a punctured lung.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Truro Crown Court for his trial.

He has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at the end of February.
