A busy stretch of the A30 in Cornwall has re-opened after a wet weather crash involving a car and a lorry.

Police confirmed the vehicles collided between the junctions for Tolvaddon and Camborne West.

The lorry jack-knifed following the collision, which happened just before 8am on Tuesday morning.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The call came through at 7.50am about a collision between a car and a lorry, resulting in the lorry jack knifing across the road.

"The A30 is blocked but no-one has been injured. This is awaiting clear-up and the road to be reopened".

"The vehicles have been recovered and all restrictions have been lifted. Delays remain with queues halfway back to the Redruth turn-off".

The crash was one of a string of collisions across Cornwall and Devon on Tuesday morning, including two on the M5.
