Baby 'attacked by fox' in Plymouth

It has been reported that a baby has been attacked by a fox in Plymouth.

Pirate FM understands that the tot was taken to hospital after it happened at the family home.

Ambulance bosses say they were called to the West Park area on Tuesday lunchtime to a suspected animal bite.

A female was treated for cuts to her hands and feet.

A South Western Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "SWASFT were called on Tuesday at 1.47pm to an incident in the West Park area of Plymouth involving a suspected animal bite.

"A female reportedly had cuts to her feet and hands.

"We attended with a rapid response vehicle. The patient was treated at the scene."

But Cornwall Live reports that the child was taken to hospital for a tetanus injection and was given antibiotics.
