Man's body found on beach in Newquay

A man has been found dead on a popular beach in Newquay.

Police got the call from the Coastguard on Wednesday, after reports of a body spotted on rocks at Fistral.

Officers say the man was recovered by the RNLI and they are not treating the death as suspicious.

He has not been formally identified, however police have confirmed that the family of missing Dylan Henty has been told.

A force spokesperson said: "Police were informed by the Coastguard at 3.10pm on Wednesday 21st February that they had received reports of a body seen on the rocks at Fistral Beach, Newquay. The RNLI attended to recover the body.

"Formal identification has yet to have taken place and police are not currently treating this death as suspicious.

"The family of missing person Dylan Henty, who was reported missing from his home in Newquay on 5pm on the Saturday 17th February, have been made aware of this development".
