You might feel like you've just waved off Valentine's Day, but the next holiday is here already... and it's one you better not forget!

For those more prone to short term memory loss, Mother's Day is this Sunday.

And is there any place better to be than Cornwall to celebrate?

We've pulled together this little list of ideas that you can do right here in the Duchy to help your mum feel extra special (because, after all, where would we be without them?).

From spas, to walks and afternoon teas, we've got you covered!

Spa day trip

Cornwall is actually blessed with stunning hotels offering a range of spa treatments and services in idyllic locations.

Enjoy a 'Morning of Bliss' at the Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa, or head on down to St Ives Harbour Hotel for a 'Refresh Spa Morning'.

There's nothing better than helping your mum get off her tired feet for a few hours of pure rest and relaxation, and especially those who spend their days chasing after little ones.

Don't forget, you can check out the Pirate FM voucher shop for half price stays in hotels across Cornwall, too.

Sunday stroll

It may not be the most ideal weather for a walk, but nothing says a family outing like getting wrapped up in coats, scarfs and hats for a trek through Cornwall's beautiful countryside.

Mums go free at Trebah Gardens, Glendurgan, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan have launched their local pass deal for the month of March. All you have to do is be a Cornwall or Devon resident.

Pentillie Castle, Saltash, will also be opening up its gardens for £6 per person (under 12s free).

Afternoon tea

It's no surprise that Cornwall does afternoon tea better than anywhere else - after all, we did basically invent the cream tea.

Why not take your mum over to the Carlyon Bay Hotel for a sweet treat?

Or spend quality time with mum and raise money for charity at the same time at Trevenna, in Liskeard, with their charity afternoon tea - all in aid of Coppafeel!

There is no end to the number of locations across the county which offer spectacular afternoon teas - and for a little extra sparkle, don't forget to add a glass of champagne.

National Trust

Perhaps unsurprisingly, a number of National Trust sites across the Duchy will be hosting workshops this Mother's Day.

From planting sunflowers together at Trelissick Gardens in Feock to making candles at Newquay's Trerice, make a day of it and do some stunning walks at these historic locations!

You can find out more events and workshops being held here.

eden project

Eden Project

This year, mums and grans go free at the Eden Project - all they need is a child or grandchil to go with them.

The famous biomes will be hosting a Mother's Day Sunday roast for £12.95 and promise 'beautiful blooms' throughout the site, thanks to the mild winter.

Spend time quality time together exploring - and its the perfect location if the weather isn't up to the job!

Sunday lunch

There's nothing like celebrating a special day than with a big hearty lunch!

Get cosy at one of Cornwall's many snug pubs, like the Halzephron Inn, Gunwalloe, for a proper Sunday roast, or why not dress it up a little and dine at a fancy hotel like Truro's Alverton?

You don't need to stop there though - for something a little bit different, head on over to Healey's Cyder Farm or drop into Gwel-an-Mor's Terrace Bar & Restaurant (where mum's get a glass of bubbly for free!).
