Burglary in Liskeard sparks police appeal

Police are urging anyone who saw someone carrying Aldi shopping bags in Liskeard on Sunday to get in touch.

It is after jewellery, electronics and sentimental items were swiped in a burglary.

Officers think the offender used supermarket carrier bags to carry the belongings away in.

It happened on the B3254 Liskeard to Pensilva road.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information following a burglary in Liskeard.

"The incident happened at a property on the B3254, Liskeard to Pensilva road, on Sunday 8th April between the hours of 6am and 6pm.

"The offender forced entry to the property through the rear window. It is believed that they were travelling on foot.

"Items taken include jewellery and computer items as well sentimental belongings.

"It's believed that the offender used Aldi carrier bags found in the house to carry the items away in.

"Anyone who saw a person carrying Aldi shopping bags in the area or has any information relating to the incident is asked to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk or call 101 quoting CR/029770/18."
