WATCH: Lorry gets stuck down Cornish lane

How many lorries can you fit down a Cornwall lane?

Well, definitely not this one.

Abi James caught this spectacle on video... just before she dived right in to help the proper Cornish way.

So, if you got stuck behind something on Penventinnie Lane in Truro earlier this week, this could answer your questions.

You can even spot someone trying to dig it out.

Abi said: "I got there around 10.20, me and a person living locally helped the driver reverse his lorry back (after all other options were well and truly exhausted) he was cleared from the road at 11.50.

"We were unsure as to what time he got stuck but he said that he followed the sat nav and didn’t realise how small Cornish lanes could be!

"Not big enough for HGVs is the answer to that!"

Luckily, Abi wasn't in a rush, so pitched in to offer the non-native driver a helping hand.

She said: "He was thankful and embarrassed, bless him.

"Once he was cleared, he assessed the damage to the vehicle... and it's fair to say he won’t be attempting it again anytime soon.

"One thing I will say is, if I was with my partner he would’ve said to just turn around, what can you do to help a stuck lorry?

"And I can imagine a lot of people thought the same.

"However it turned out (after a few giggles) I could help and it did take two of us to help the driver reverse out.

"Good deed done for the day!"
