Police identify body found in Penzance

Police have formally identified a woman whose body was discovered in Penzance.

Officers were called to Penare Road at 9.45pm last Thursday night.

Detectives launched a murder investigation after Cecilia Seddon was found dead at the scene.

The 32-year-old's family has been told.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact officers.

Detective Superintendent Ben Deer said:“We are appealing to anyone with information, no matter how small, that relates to Cecilia and/or her movements during April 2018.

“We advise people to contact us via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting reference number 0899 of the 19/04/18.

“Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers via 0800 555111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”

A 49-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody pending further enquiries.
