UPDATE: Police hold traffic after A30 crash

A stretch of the A30 has been blocked after a five-vehicle crash near Truro. 

The collision happened at Chybucca at around 11.30am on Monday.

It was affecting traffic westbound, between the turn-off for Shortlanesend and Chiverton Cross.

Officials have now confirmed that the road has cleared and traffic is easing.

At the time, Inrix Traffic and Travel said: "A30 in both directions blocked, queueing traffic due to multi-vehicle accident between Shortlanesend Road (Goonhavern / Shortlanesend turn off) and A3075 / A390 / B3277 (Chiverton Cross Roundabout).

"Affecting traffic travelling between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross."

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to a five-vehicle collision on the A30 at Chybucca, Truro, reported at 11.30am today (14th May).

"The westbound carriageway is closed at this time.

"An ambulance is on its way and one person is complaining of neck pain."
