'Altercation' in Portreath sparks police appeal

A so-called 'altercation' in Portreath has sparked a police appeal.

Officers say the incident involved a woman and someone she knows on Beach Road in the town.

Two women who saw what happened last Thursday evening and spoke to the victim afterwards are being asked to contact police.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "An altercation was reported to have happened between 7.30pm and 7.45pm on Thursday 10th May on Beach Road.

"A woman in her 40s was reported to have been in a verbal altercation with a man known to her.

"Police would like to speak to two women who were in the area at the time and spoke to the victim after the incident."

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting CR/040952/18.
