Police appeal after thefts around Redruth

A police appeal has gone out after a series of thefts across the Redruth area.

The first took place at Nail Supplies on Wilson Way in Pool.

Officers say that the front door was smashed sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning.

More than £4,500 worth of valuable nail products were stolen, including 400 jars of nail gel in various brands such as Crystal Nail, Naba and Mosiac, around 200 drill bits for electric nail file and around 80 pots of acrylic colours.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Offender/s gained entry by smashing a glass panel in the front door before carrying a search of the premises.

"Police are investigating and asking for anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour or individual around the premises at the time of the offence to contact them.

"They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered the stolen items for sale."

The second theft took place at Raw4Pawz pet shop on Green Lane in Redruth.

The shop door window was smashed sometime between 5pm and 11.45pm on Friday 18th May.

The stolen items including a 1.5kg bag of cat kibble, a box of Country Hunter dog food pouches, various dog treats and cat Dynamite toys, valuing £100.

A police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating and asking for anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour or individual around the premises at the time of the offence to contact them.

"They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered the stolen items for sale."
