UPDATE: Appeal to find teen wanted by police in Cornwall

UPDATE: He has now been found and remanded in custody

A a teenager wanted by police in Cornwall has been remanded in custody after an appeal.

William Halliday-Miranda failed to appear before magistrates in Truro and has links to Newquay and St Austell.

Officers also wanted to speak to the 18-year-old about driving and drug offences.

They were asking for locals' help to trace the young man, who was wanted on warant.

On the 4th June officers confirmed that the 18-year-old had been found and remanded in custody.

A spokesperson for the Devon and Cornwall force said: "Police were seeking the public’s help to locate an 18-year-old man who was wanted for failing to attend court in May.

"William Halliday-Miranda has been located and remanded in police custody."
