The A38 reopens after a rush-hour crash

There have been big delays on a busy stretch of Cornwall's A38 after a crash.

The road was closed in both directions after a van came off the road and went into a hedge.

The collision happened near the Halfway House Inn in the Glynn Valley just after 5pm.

Police had to shut the road at Two Water's Foot to recover the vehicle.

It was affecting traffic between Bodmin and Liskeard but has since reopened.

Inrix Traffic and Travel said: "The A38 in the Glynn Valley, in both directions, has reopened.

"Traffic easing, accident cleared and recovery work completed between Drift Lane (Two Water's Foot) and the B3360 (Doublebois).
