Gary Barlow has tweeted an apology over confetti cannons at Eden

The singer has come under fire after campaigners claimed they left the Eden Project covered in litter.

However the singer has since posted to social media, promising not to use ticket tape in future shows.

He said: "Apologies to @edenproject for firing our confetti cannons. I hope this doesn’t mean we won’t be asked back?

"We’ve cancelled all ticker tape at outdoor shows because the reality is, beyond the effect it just turns into litter".

He also cited fears he would not be asked back, but we are pretty sure there would be riots if not!

On top of that, many fans have since jumped to his defence, saying they would miss the cannons.

Gary also thanked fans after the show, for what he described as an 'incredible evening'.

Gary tweeted: "Thank you for an incredible night ".

He latest posted: "I can’t begin to tell you how much we’re all loving this tour. The Band are truly magnificent- on and off the stage.

"We’re blessed with an amazing team around us - and always present, those amazing audiences who sing, dance and cheer every night. Thank you x"
