A hole the size of a person has opened up in the middle of St Agnes.

Officials say the road has been closed along with part of the one-way system.

It is so experts can carry out an investigation into the two-metre deep hole.

Cormac said: "A 1.6m hole has appeared near Town Hill/British Road junction, St Agnes.

"The area is currently closed to HGVs, and full closure will be used to allow investigations.

"We can't currently confirm when the roads will be reopened."
