Appeal after £300 stolen from Camborne cash point

A theft from a cash point in Camborne has sparked a police appeal after £300 cash was taken.

Police say the victim was spooked by someone standing nearby and left before taking their money.

The offender then swiped the cash outside Barclays on Chapel Street.

Now officers want to identify the woman pictured as they think she could have vital information.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police would like to identify the woman pictured following reports of a theft in Camborne.

"The incident happened on Wednesday 25th May between 10.50am and 11.05am out Barclays on Chapel Street.

"The victim was at the ATM when they were spooked by someone standing nearby and left before taking their money.

"An offender has then approached the ATM and took the £300.

"Police would like to speak to the woman pictured as it's believed he may have information vital to the investigation."

Anyone who recognises her or has any information about the incident is asked to contact police quoting crime reference CR/045453/18.
