Comedian says sorry for cream tea gaffe in Cornwall

Comedian Jason Manford has apologised over that cream tea gaffe after a gig in Cornwall.

Jam first. FACT! Well, this side of the Tamar anyway!

But Jason. who is best known best for shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats, upset fans after a show in Redruth.

It seems he celebrated his stand-up gig at The Regal with a cream tea in Newquay the next day. Proper Job. However...

I do not care less about the local customs! #CreamFirst

The social media post sparked absolute outrage, along with a hilarious reply from Dawn French.

Her simple response of "taxi for Jason Manford" notched up almost 700 likes and a string of comments.

Victor replied "don’t bother with a taxi I will take him across the Tamar myself", while Richard wrote "there should be a passport control at the county boundary for such heathens".

Keith added: "That's like making a swiss roll with the jam on the outside. Ridiculous. What next, anti-clockwise Chelsea buns?"

Jody responded: "No Manford. No. Do not challenge this as the answer is jam first. Jam first I tell you!"

Now Jason has posted an "I'm sorry" with his tail well and truly between his legs.

Well, that is Jason told!
