PHOTOS: The nudist beaches to try as Cornwall's run of sun returns

Ever feel like stripping off when the sun is shining? Cornwall is the place to be with a handful of beaches scattered across the Duchy, perfect for naturists.

These sands and coves list themselves as nudist/naturist BUT, that does not make them officially so.

However, some of them are pretty secluded, perfect if you are feeling brave now the sun has returned!

(Oh, and while we have shared some Instagram shots of these beaches, that does not mean the people who posted them were minus clothes!)

Sunny Cove

Sunny Cove can be found between Swanpool beach and Maenporth Beach. This small cove is ideal for those wanting a private location and it has been very popular as an unofficial nudist beach. According to Cornwall Beach Guide there was once a sign that read: “Costumes optional”.

Vault Beach

This sandy beach has gentle waves making it a relaxing and pleasant stay for those wanting to leave your clothes behind. The nudist section can be found at the far end of the beach.

Porthmeor Cove

This secluded cove can be found between Land’s End and St Ives (not to be confused with its larger namesake in the town!). It is a picturesque location, with rounded rocks and boulders creating a lovely spot to sunbathe.

Pedn Vounder Beach

Surrounded by rugged cliffs, this sandy beach provides stunning clear water and a great place to relax. You can also bring your dog along all year round!

Greenbank Cove

Between Portreath and Gwithian, the north cliffs provide a haven of hidden beaches - perfect for a dip in the nude! It can be quite a difficult cliff to get down to this beach, so please be aware of this before packing your bag for a day in the sun.

Feeling like forgetting the tan lines? You can check out a few others on the Cornwall Beaches page.
