It was the weekend the weather turned a bit weird, with some parts of the Cornish coast shrouded in sea mist.

An eerie fog descended on Carbis Bay and St Ives on Friday night, all within a matter of minutes.

Then on Sunday, the mist lingered in and around Newquay until the sun burnt off the cloud.

At one point, the fog was so thick at Perranporth lifeguards had to keep people from going in the sea.

Stranger still, was Dan Bourne's incredible photo of this cloud rolling over Land's End on Sunday.
