Multi-vehicle crash on busy stretch of Cornwall's A30

A multi-vehicle crash that closed a stretch of Cornwall's A30 has now cleared.

One lane was closed westbound at Mitchell on Monday evening, sparking long delays.

It is unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anybody has been seriously injured.

Inrix Traffic and Travel was reporting tailbacks of around 20 minutes, back to Summercourt.

The collision sparked delays on local bus services too, with some services facing diversions.

However at 6.45pm on Monday, Inrix confirmed the closures had been lifted and traffic was clearing.

"All lanes open and traffic easing. Recovery work completed and multi-vehicle accident cleared on A30 Westbound between the A3076 (Mitchell Turn Off) and the A39 (Carland Cross)".
