An appeal has been launched to find a young man wanted by police, who has links to Newquay, St Blazey and St Austell.

William Halliday-Miranda was handed a domestic violence prevention order when he appeared before magistrates in July.

Now officers say he has breached his release conditions and enquiries are underway to find and arrest him.

It is the second time the 18-year-old has gone on the run, after skipping a court date earlier this year.

He was last seen in the St Blazey area on Monday but Devon and Cornwall Police say do not believe he is a threat to the public.

"Police are seeking the public's help to trace an 18-year-old who is wanted for breaching his release conditions.

"William Halliday-Miranda was served with a domestic violence prevention order which was issued on Wednesday 11 July at Bodmin Magistrates Court.

"Enquires are being carried out locally to locate and arrest Halliday-Miranda, and officers are appealing to the public for information about his whereabouts.

"He was last seen in the St Blazey area on Monday 6 august. He is described as a black male, of slim build and 5ft 5in tall.

"He is not considered a direct threat to the public".
