A man has been treated by paramedics after a digger crash that shut a stretch of Cornwall's A38.

Police say a JCB hit the central reservation at Menheniot near Liskeard.

It sparked big delays first thing on Tuesday, however the collision has now cleared.

The digger was the only vehicle involved in the incident, which happened just after 8am.

"The single vehicle collision happened on the A38 at Menheniot, Liskeard - close to Castle Motors.

"A JCB digger was in collision with the central reservation.

"Ambulance crews are on the scene. A male driver is being treated but his injuries are not known at this time,.

Devon and Cornwall Police

"All lanes open and traffic returned to normal. Debris removed from road and accident cleared on A38 in both directions between A390 (Island Shop Junction, Liskeard) and the B3252 (Horningtops turn-off).

"Lane two (of two) re-opened in both directions just after 10:00 following clean-up of debris and inspection of the barriers".
