Huge fire tears through bungalow in Cornwall

Crews scrambled to a house fire in mid-Cornwall had reports of people trapped.

Firefighters helped one woman to safety after the blaze broke out at a bungalow in Bugle.

Police and paramedics were also scrambled to Higher Bugle, just before 11pm on Tuesday.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service has since confirmed that everyone made it out.

"The Critical Control Centre received an emergency call regarding a property fire, persons reported.

"Two appliances from St Austell, one appliance from St Dennis and two officers were immediately mobilised to the incident.

"On arrival, crews discovered a one storey bungalow, measuring approximately 10m by 10m.

"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

"All persons have been accounted for and crews remain on scene liaising with the police and the South West Ambulance Service".
