Appeal after 'assault' in Newquay town centre

An appeal has gone out after an alleged assault in Newquay town centre.

Police say there were several reports after an 'altercation' broke out.

It happened as people left the Eden Bar and went towards Wesley Yard.

Anyone who saw what happened in the early hours last Tuesday is asked to contact officers.

"Between the hours of 4.30am and 5am on Tuesday 14th August a number of individuals left the Eden Bar, Beach Road, Newquay.

"These persons were involved in an altercation outside the premises.

"This incident progressed to a rear service lane at Wesley Yard, Newquay.

"Two people have made allegations of assault."
