Police cars damaged after a smashing rampage

Police in Newquay have been left with fewer cars after a number of windscreens were smashed. 

Six police vehicles had their windscreens smashed on Thursday night. 

Inspector Dave Meredith tweeted photos of the damage. 

An individual was arrested by night shift officers. 

"Six police cars had their windscreens damaged at Newquay last night.

"Offender promptly arrested by night shift officers.

"Fortunately we have plenty of spare cars so you will still see us out and about today."
