A stretch of the A30 in Cornwall, closed after a serious crash, has reopened.

The air ambulance was scrambled after it happened between Summercourt and Indian Queens.

Police were called to reports of three motorbikes caught in the collision, early on Sunday afternoon.

Officers have confirmed four people were injured and one casualty was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

Sunday is the day hundreds of motorbikes were riding in the Martin Jennings Memorial Run.

However, reports that the vehicles involved were taking part in the event have not been confirmed.

Both carriageways were closed to allow the air ambulance to land but have now reopened.

Highways England had put diversions in place and Inrix Traffic Travel is still reporting delays.

"Very slow traffic due to earlier accident on A30 Westbound from the B3275 (Fraddon Services, Penhale) to the A3058 Beacon Road (Summercourt Central /Newquay turn-off).

"All lanes have been reopened. The accident was linked to a local bike rally".
