WATCH: Track Storm Helene's path hour by hour

Cornwall is in for a night of up to 60mph winds and heavy rain as Storm Helene hits the UK.

A yellow weather warning comes into force at 9pm on Monday and will remain in place until 6pm on Tuesday.

The Met Office says the worst of the wild weather will hit the west coast of the Duchy in the early hours.

This is the hour by hour path Storm Helene will take as she makes landfall, before sweeping up country.

The Met Office no longer thinks Storm Helene poses a danger to life but she will still pack a punch.

Forecasters say we can expect disruption on the roads, along with the risk of possible power cuts.

"The first autumn storm, Helene, is now starting to show its face with winds starting to increase across the south-west.

"Helene will move northeastwards across Wales and England during tonight and Tuesday with winds slowly easing during tomorrow afternoon.

"A spell of strong winds is expected, initially mainly across us in the south-west and across west and south Wales.

"Winds are likely to gust 40-50 mph widely within the warning area whilst some coasts and hills within our region along with Wales could have gusts of between 55-65 mph before things ease down.

"The warning zone has been expended, covering all of the south-west region now and with high tides, we could see coastal flooding more widely with overlapping sea defences and prone-to-coastal-flooding areas taking a hit".
