Pirate FM understands police have been given more time to question a woman arrested on suspicion of murder in a Cornish village.

A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital after allegedly being stabbed in Bugle, but later died.

Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 8pm on Friday and a street was cordoned off.

Now detectives think people in the area at the time may have seen what happened or have vital clues.

“Enquires are currently ongoing at the scene and officers will be speaking to a number of identified witnesses.

“We believe that there were people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident or have information that may assist our investigation.

“I would urge anyone who has any information to come forward and speak to us".

Superintendent Ben Deer

Localised closures and diversions were put in place whilst emergency services carried out enquiries at the scene.

On Sunday, Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that a woman in her 30s remained in custody.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk or call 101 quoting log 830 28 September.
