WATCH: Spectacular moment dolphin leaps from sea in Cornwall

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 11:53am 30th September 2018.

The spectacular moment a playful dolphin leaps from the sea at the bow of Penlee RNLI crew's boat caught on camera.

The crew were returning from a shout just after sunrise on Sunday when they were joined by the playful pod.

Luckily they managed to catch the moment on camera so everyone could enjoy it.

"Look at those dolphins go! Chasing the bow wave of the Ivan Ellen yesterday...they seem to be our constant companions at the moment!"

It is not the first time they have been joined by dolphins.

Yesterday morning a pod was spotted while the crew were out on a training exercise in Mount’s Bay.

It was a real welcome to the team for new crew member Amy Smith, who was on her first training exercise.

"We were joined by Dolphins again on exercise this morning."
