Published by Sarah Yeoman at 4:12pm 16th October 2018.

A tribute has been paid to an elderly man who died after a car hit a house in Wadebridge.

Graham Brinsden was airlifted to Derriford after the crash last Tuesday morning.

The 80-year-old suffered critical injuries and sadly he could not be saved.

Friends of Graham have since released the following tribute:

"Graham Brinsden was born in St.Albans, Hertfordshire in 1938 where he spent most of his working life in the motor trade.

"He never married, had no siblings or children of his own.

"He moved to Wadebridge 16 years ago to be near close friends Rex and Mary Hester, and their family.

"Graham enjoyed an active retirement in Wadebridge and surrounding area, he loved the coastline, enjoyed helping with running the Folk Festival, and enjoyed spending time at the Betjeman centre.

"He was well known around the town, often seen walking with his Jack Russell, Todd.

"Anyone that knew him would say that he was always happy, very friendly and eager to chat.

"He will be sadly missed."

Local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team, and Serious Collison Investigation Team attended the scene.
