Man bitten in 'incident' at Cornish holiday park

A man has been bitten on the chest after an 'incident' at a holiday park on the Lizard.

Police were called to Mullion amid reports of someone with a knife on Thursday evening.

Members of the public detained a man - after another man in his fifties was assaulted.

Officers say a 24-year-old was arrested and remains in custody.

"Police were called at 7.45pm last night to Mullion Holiday Park following reports of a man seen in possession of a knife.

"It was reported that the man was detained by members of the public after he assaulted a man in his 50s. The man sustained a bite to the chest.

"Two weapons were seized by officers at the scene.

"A 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and assault.

"He remains in police custody for questioning."
