Firefighters who tackled a massive industrial estate blaze in Wadebridge are urging people not to cross the cordon.

Officials say the area is dangerous as areas are still smouldering at Trenant.

Crews found gas cylinders inside one of the burning buildings on Wednesday night.

One exploded and crews spent most of Thursday working to cool the others and damp down hotspots.

A fire investigation has been carried out to try and work out what caused the blaze.

"A crew returned to the scene at 07:00 this morning to check for hot spots.

"Three small areas of the building were still alight/smouldering.

"A decision was made to leave these areas to burn themselves out as without entering the building, they would be virtually impossible to extinguish.

"The smouldering areas are well contained and have no chance of spreading to other areas.

"A cordon is in place around the incident and it must not be crossed under any circumstances."

"Fire investigators were at the scene yesterday until around 3pm.

"An external fire investigation took place with various witness accounts taken.

"However, the building is too dangerous to enter due to the unstable nature of unsupported internal block walls and a partially collapsed steel columns and beams."
