Schoolboy 'kicked and punched' in St Austell

A schoolboy has reportedly been kicked and punched in the head in St Austell.

Police say the alleged attack took place in the Holmbush area on Saturday evening.

The 12-year-old suffered visible bruising - after getting into an argument.

Officers are investigating.

"Police are investigating reports of an assault that took place Saturday 20th October between 6.15pm an 6.30pm in the Holmbush area of St Austell.

"A 12-year-old boy was reported to have been involved in an altercation with another boy before being assaulted by a man.

"It was reported that the victim was kicked to the body and punched to the head causing visible bruising.

"Enquires are ongoing into this incident."
