Roof of mobile home catches fire

Firefighters have been scrambled to St Day after the roof of a mobile home caught alight.

The blaze started as a chimney fire and spread to the roof.

Crews from Falmouth and Tolvaddon managed to cut away part of the wood to put the fire out.

It broke out on Tresaddern Hill just before 10pm on Sunday night.

"Crews were mobilised to a mobile home where a chimney fire had spread to the roof of the property.

"Two appliances from Tolvaddon and one from Falmouth attended along with a wholetime officer.

"Crews used four breathing apparatus two hosereels a triple extension ladder thermal imaging camera and small tools to cut away areas of the wooden roof to extinguish the fire."
