Man rushed to hospital after serious A38 crash

Police have confirmed a man was rushed to Derriford after a serious crash on Cornwall's A38.

Three vehicles were caught in the collision near Liskeard on Thursday evening - a car, a van and a truck.

The air ambulance was scrambled but it is unclear whether the casualty was airlifted to hospital.

Officers have told Pirate FM his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"The accident happened at 17.40pm on Thursday evening - at the Looe crossroads near Horningtops.

"Three vehicles were involved - a pick-up, a car and a van.

"One male was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing".

The road reopened just before 10pm on Thursday evening.
