A stretch of the A38 in Cornwall, flooded after a day of downpours, has been blocked.

There were reports of standing water, 2ft deep, near Bodmin Parkway on Friday evening.

Early on Saturday, Inrix Traffic and Travel was still reporting problems near the junction for Middle Drift.

However, driver William has told Pirate FM he made it to Trago and described the road as passable.

Police reportedly had to push cars out of the water on Friday, but the road was cleared by around 9.15am on Saturday.

Drivers are still being urged to take extra care, with reports of heavy surface water across the Duchy and Devon.

Inrix is reporting problems on the A386 near Tavistock and the A30 between Camborne and Hayle.

"Surface water on A30 Carwin Rise in both directions between A3047 (Camborne West, Camborne) and A30 (Loggans Moor Roundabout, Loggan). Traffic is coping well. Approach with care".
